Het naaktportret van Sienna werd een paar weken voor haar bevalling gemaakt en zal onderdeel zijn van een uitgebreidere serie van haar die hij volgend jaar wil publiceren. De kunstenaar, Jonathan Yeo, vertelde verder: "It is a tribute to her courage and self-confidence that she agreed to sit for this. I can think of many figures whose public currency in part revolves around their appearance who would prefer to hide themselves away for nine months."
Tijdens de expositie (I've Got You) Under My Skin, worden er ook beelden getoond over plastische chirurgie, waarvoor hij maanden de beste cosmetische chirurgen ter wereld volgde. Hierover vertelt hij: "I wanted an image that epitomised the human body in its most naturally beautiful state to make the sharpest possible contrast with my other paintings in this exhibition, which document patients undergoing cosmetic surgery in a bid to help them conform to societal notions of beauty." En hij legt uit waarom hij het portret van Sienna hierbij tentoonstelt: "It made sense to me to unveil this image for the first time in Germany, a country with a very relaxed attitude to nudity, where it is not automatically sexualised or deemed scandalous."
In het verleden portretteerde Yeo ook Nicole Kidman, Erin O'Connor en Damien Hirst. De (I've Got You) Under My Skin expositie is open vanaf 9 november tot 12 januari 2013. Dus mocht je nog in Berlijn zijn, ga dan zeker even langs de Circle Culture Gallery!
