Model Erin Wasson vertelt over haar beautyritueel: ze verklapt dat ze al grijs is, we zien haar toilettafel en ze bespreekt haar trendy tatoeages.
Lichaamsverzorging: Everything really needs to be paraben-free for me. I mean, because if Im going to smoke cigarettes, then I need to be aware of all the other bullshit Im putting into my body. And oils, Im an oil aficionado. But I do feel theres a bit of a placebo effect with skincare. If youre using something and you think its doing something for you, its in your head. Its all genetics, really.
Make-up: The only thing Ill wear is the RMS Beauty "Un" Cover-Up. I think its the most amazing beauty product ever created. Its like skin. And Ill do mascara, Maybelline Volum'Express. But I just dont wear makeup unless its to events. Foundation and covering up is just the worst; Im all about being able to see your skin. For me, Im like, tinted moisturizer, some of that Rose Marie Swift shit and maybe some blush. I dont do sparkles.
Haar: "Every day, after I go in the ocean, what I do with my hair really depends on what Im doing afterwards. The one thing I cant live without is conditioner. I dont even shampoo my hair. Unless Im working and they put all the crap in my hair, I do not believe in stripping your hair of all the oils. So yeah, Ill get in the ocean and a little bit of salt will be left over, and then Ill condition it and then its done. I do color my hair, because, girl, Im pretty much gray. I just do my roots every three weeks.
Tatoeages: I started getting tattoos when I was 17. I dont have a grand plan with my tattoos, never. Im the girl who just thinks up something as Im walk into a tattoo parlor and Im getting it an hour later. I believe in ornamentation of the body I believe if you feel it, you should just do it. Dont overanalyze anything in life too much - youll make yourself crazy. Im into symbolism; all of my tattoos are very much based on symbolism. And theyre all very sneaky. So, if Im just standing straight in front of you, you wouldnt really see them. But, if I was naked and you saw me from behind you would be like, Damn. All of my tattoos are in the place where I want them; theyre not hidden because of work. Its been a problem for sure over the years, but whatever! You know, I started in this business when it was 35mm film. Now, everything is digital anyways, so you just push a button and every blemish and tattoo just disappears."
