Je zou denken dat het meestgewilde model van het moment Cara Develingne zo onderhand alles wel op haar cv heeft staan. Maar op de cover van de Britse Vogue had ze nog niet eerder gestaan. Tot nu.
Cara Delevingne schittert op de maart 2013 editie van de Britse Vogue en is daar zelf ook erg trots op. Ze voelde zich namelijk vereerd dat ze werd gevraagd. "Being asked to do a British Vogue cover - I didn't really believe it at first. I think it's something that as a kid you look up to so much," zegt ze. "It's one of the most shocking things that has ever happened to me I think. I just stood back and had to get someone to pinch me. I was like: 'What's going on?' I couldn't believe it."
Het 20-jarige model, bekend om haar sprankelende, bubbly en vooral ook knettergekke persoonlijkheid en natuurlijk haar flawless gezichtje - vergeet de wenkbrauwen niet - is van oorsprong Brits, wat het extra bijzonder maakt. Cara is het gezicht van DKNY, loopt alle Chanel shows, ze schitterd in de meest geweldige editorials, maar de cover van Vogue UK lijkt een toppunt voor Cara: "It doesn't really sink in until you actually see it, that cover, that actual magazine, Vogue - it's so great. Especially the March issue, it's the big fashion issue, so it's going to be pretty amazing. I'm going to run out of the shop with 20 in my hands, going: 'Oh my God, this is me! Oh my God!'"
