Nicolas Ghesquière is de nieuwe creative director van Louis Vuitton. Begin oktober nam Marc Jacobs na 16 jaar afscheid van het Franse modehuis. Nicolas Ghesquière, die een jaar geleden na 15 jaar afscheid nam van Balenciaga, zal direct beginnen bij LV.
"Louis Vuitton has always incarnated for me the symbol of ultimate luxury, innovation and exploration," zei Nicolas Ghesquière gisteren. "I am very honoured of the mission that I am entrusted with, and proud to join the history of this great maison. We share common values and a vision."
Louis Vuitton hoopt dat Nicolas een nieuw tijdperk brengt naar het modehuis, net zoals hij deed voor Balenciaga. De designer zal een moderne creatieve visie naar de damescollecties brengen, voortbouwend op verfijning, bedrevenheid en extreme kwaliteit. Wij kunnen niet wachten op Nicolas' debuut collectie voor Louis Vuitton!
