Hoewel het vervolg op Fifty Shades Of Grey nog moet komen, laat actrice Dakota Johnson nu al weten genoeg te hebben van de talloze intieme scènes met Mr. Grey.
Over twee weken is het zover: de langverwachte film Fifty Shades Darker is eindelijk daar. Daarna wordt het weer een jaar smachten naar het laatste deel van de reeks: Fifty Shades Freed. Maar nu laat de 27-jarige actrice zich uit tegen Glamour over de populaire seksscènes en het lijkt erop dat ze daar voorlopig geen behoefte meer aan heeft. “It’s not that it has me put off entirely, but I’m ready to do other stuff. And maybe they will be sexy, or maybe they will be the complete opposite. But I know that I’m ready to move on.”
Er zijn momenten geweest dat Dakota Johnson heeft getwijfeld over haar rol als Anastasia Steele. Ze moest zichzelf ineens helemaal blootgeven en de scènes waren vaak ontzettend awkward. Het lijkt haar dan ook beter dat haar ouders zich niet bezighouden met haar Fifty Shades carrière. “It’s too uncomfortable for them. It’s one thing if a film has one sex scene in it, but with this, a large part of the premise is the arc of their sexual relationship, and I think that’s a little inappropriate for my family to watch.”
Toch kan ze achteraf alleen maar trots zijn op het resultaat en moet ze ook toegeven dat het haar verder heeft gebracht. “In the end, Fifty Shades plopped me in a world that I really wanted to be in.” We zijn benieuwd wat we nu van Dakota kunnen verwachten, maar voorlopig blijft ze gewoon de Fifty Shades actrice.
