Naast acteren en modellen kan Emma Watson blijkbaar ook designen! Ze ontwierp namelijk een fair-trade collectie voor het Engelse label People Tree.
The Daily Express noemde deze samenwerking "one of the top 10 fashion stories of 2010".
De collectie is "clean and easy to wear" en zal bestaan uit jersey t-shirts, jurken, rokjes, broeken, shorts and breisels voor zowel mannen als vrouwen. De collectie zal eind van deze maand in de winkels liggen.
"I wanted to help People Tree produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with. It has been the most incredible gap year project," vertelt Emma over het project.
De collectie is dus 100 procent organisch en heeft het Fairtrade label gekregen. En alles is met de hand gemaakt! "I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian issues surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren't many options out there," aldus Emma Watson.
