Maandagavond was het zo ver, de kick-off in Belgrado (Servië) van Queen Bee's wereldtour die in 15 augustus in Brooklyn zal eindigen. Volgende week maandag is H&M zomercampagne model Beyoncé bij ons in Amsterdam.
Emilio Pucci's creative director Peter Dundas vond het heerlijk om voor de zangeres te ontwerpen: "Doing Beyoncé's costumes makes a designer want to run home and sketch. She is one of the sweetest stars to work with."
Peter Dundas gebruikte zijn nieuwste herfst/winter 2013-14 collectie als uitgangspunt, waar Beyoncé zelf enthousiast over was. "She liked the Pucci girl look and vibe of the last show, but we made unique couture versions to make it extra special and also to suit her needs as a dancer," vertelt de ontwerper. "Doing stage costumes is a little different than a show - it's like a high voltage version of the runway. For certain tableaux, there were specific needs in terms of colour and, of course, she has to be able to change in 59 seconds. That's even less than a quick change in a runway show."
